Job Description Summary:

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Contribute to portfolio strategy, brand planning, and local innovation opportunities at the operating unit and market levels.
  • Provide market feedback for the creation of Integrated Marketing Experience (IME) campaigns at the operating unit and market levels, and give your approval for the commercialization of innovative ideas (as applicable)
  • Plan the localization and in-the-moment amplification of Integrated Marketing Experience campaigns for the Franchise unit, and give feedback to the Integrated Marketing Experience team for the Operating Unit.
  • Examine and approve the marketing strategies, as well as their integration with the pertinent bottlers in the country or region. oversee local plans, such as consumer promotions, experiential marketing, and events (leveraging mkt assets)
  • Preparing for and attending important business System Review meetings as the lead franchise marketer. the best of Models of best practices that are transferable to other regions.
  • Working with Category Leads to determine the optimal response strategy, leads are briefed on AdHoc requests based on changing market needs and Bottler requests connected to important business initiatives.
  • Execute tasks through your crew and communicate often with the Franchise Leadership team and the Africa Operating Unit Frontline Marketing Lead to deliver the strategy as measured by volume, share, and profit.
  • In collaboration with Customer and Commercial and Franchise Leadership, drive bottler alignment on the marketing agenda, including portfolio priorities, consumer insights, category/brand strategies and plans (objectives, execution and success metrics, activity calendars, including Innovation projects and end-to-end Campaigns).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA is an added advantage.
  • Having 12 to 15 years of significant marketing and management experience, including managing big teams (20+ people)
  • Direct marketing activation experience
  • Business and marketing sense, as well as financial knowledge
  • Collaborating with outside partners for The Coca-Cola Company (bottlers and customers)
  • Preferably with experience dealing with marketing in large regions
  • Experience working in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams is preferred
  • Having the capacity to contribute sophisticated franchise unit-level advice on marketing strategy and plans (for example, consumer/shopper insights) and other important aspects of broader operating unit/global strategy, as necessary.
  • Ability to build relationships with important bottlers, guarantee alignment with marketing goal, and get their support
  • Coordination of all local activation information (calendars, resources, metrics) with Bottlers
  • Being able to determine whether a campaign needs to be customized or localized as needed
  • Guiding media purchases (in collaboration with marketing procurement), when needed
