Who Are We Scouting?

As the country operations and partnerships manager, you will be primarily responsible for partnerships and collaborations, innovation, improving operational effectiveness, implementing brand initiatives, managing the team, and encouraging dynamic growth. In addition to addressing commercial expansion, the job will strategically position Flutterwave as the top payment provider in Kenya.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the identified entity has all applicable regulatory licenses, permissions, and approvals
  • Foster strategic relationships with important regulatory environment players, making sure that these partnerships yield the greatest possible benefit.
  • Develop and maintain key partnerships and collaborations in Kenya in line with Flutterwave’s overall partnership development strategy
  • Actively negotiate and oversee all legal agreements and documentation and acting in the best interest of Flutterwave operations.
  • Oversee the development of the Partnership teams with particular focus on identifying, initiating and maintaining key relationships 
  • Create a pipeline of possible collaboration prospects that can be tracked, with a deliberate focus on conversion in accordance with predetermined timescales.
  • Ensure all business operations and procedures run smoothly leading to optimal productivity and output across all teams
  • Ensure interdepartmental collaboration and the strategic mapping of Flutterwave’s goals and objectives throughout all business planning and budgeting processes.
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of in-country resources in line with approved manpower plans and budgets
  • Provide opportunities for on-the-job training while advising, mentoring, and coaching junior staff members and peers to expand their skill sets.
Qualification
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the Financial services industry
  • knowledge of financial services, payments, and/or local payment methods
  • A proven track-record of leading companies and/or teams and meeting operational and strategic targets
  • Excellent communication abilities and a high capacity for leadership
  • Excellent people management abilities; capacity to influence others’ conduct by setting a good example
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, making presentations, writing proposals, signing contracts, developing partnerships
  • Interested in shaping the future of payments, focusing on unmet needs.
  • Ability to work in a multinational, multidisciplinary, and fast-growing environment.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the organization
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Autonomy, creativity, ability for do complex analysis
  • Able to operate remotely and go anywhere in the designated country
  • Experience of working in an agile environment, where you have responded quickly to changing business needs

  • Fluent in English 
  • Authorization to work in Kenya without sponsorship
