Join our pioneering team leading the transformative Cocoa Life initiative, a vital pillar of our comprehensive sustainability strategy. With invaluable insights gained over the past decade, we are thrilled to unveil the next phase of Cocoa Life, backed by a substantial $600 million investment. This progressive stage seeks to empower more farming households to attain a sustainable income, enhance child safeguarding mechanisms and educational opportunities in Cocoa Life communities, and ensure zero deforestation across our global network of Cocoa Life farms. To accomplish these ambitious goals, we are actively recruiting a proficient Due Diligence Manager to strengthen our workforce.
Responsibilities
- You will collaborate with international subject matter experts to ensure alignment with Cocoa Life’s mission to benefit farmers and communities and MDLZ’s global Impact strategy.
- You will supervise third-party verification of the program’s key indicators and improve the integration and alignment of data collection.
- A constant and effective response to child labor issues as well as other regulatory changes and demands is the primary goal of the CLMRS and Compliance lead.
- Hold implementing partners responsible for delivery and reporting by working with the country leads of West African Cocoa Life.
- Oversee the coordination of the tasks involved in data gathering and verification for regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the continuation and application of the specified remediation operations.
- Align results and plan with the global central team through communication.
- Support the development and innovation of CLMRS
- Make that the necessary procedures for data collection and verification are in place to prove regulatory compliance.
- Analyze the effectiveness of local compliance with regulations, present the results, and outline adjustments.
Qualification
- University degree
- 10 years or more of work experience in the West African cocoa industry
- Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Be linguistically diversified. French would be advantageous, but English is required.
Additional Requirements

- Specific understanding of revenue for farmers, the preservation and rehabilitation of forests, and human rights.
