Position Overview:
As the Manager of Research & Development, your role will involve leading the implementation of various initiatives, projects, and technologies, aligning them with the business’s stage and gate process. Key responsibilities include sourcing and assessing components and alternatives, supporting plant trials, overseeing initial production runs, conducting internal sensory testing for products, and managing commercial runs for finished goods.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and abide by Business Quality, EMS/FSSC/OHS requirements for environmental elements and impacts, as well as other policies, procedures, and/or laws relevant to the given jobs.
- Recognize the purpose of the Business Quality, Food Safety, EMS, OHS, and other policies, and apply them to the given jobs.
- Acknowledge the crucial environmental factors and associated effects that their work may have on the environment, as well as the environmental advantages of better personal performance.
- Identify the roles and duties involved as well as the significance of adhering to Business Quality, Food Safety, EMS, and OHS requirements.
- Evaluate the probable repercussions of deviating from the prescribed Quality, Food Safety, EMS, OHS procedures or regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, food science or food technology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific field
- Master’s degree and relevant professional certifications
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SPC
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and project management abilities.
Additional Qualification
It would be of great benefit if you have the following qualities:
- Extensive experience in the food sector, specializing in edible oil, margarine, and seasoning
- Demonstrated expertise in the previous roles held within the food industry
- Proficient in the English language, ensuring effective communication
