Who Are We Looking For?
Filling the role of Strategic Insights Manager, our market is looking for someone who is extremely motivated and results-oriented.
To enable educated portfolio, pricing, and marketing strategic decisions for the Nigerian market, you will be accountable and responsible for developing practical business insight from a variety of data sources.
You will have the chance to play a key role in identifying and advising the Leadership, Marketing, and Sales teams on commercial opportunities and marketing strategies that will give JTI a competitive edge in the marketplace by fusing your data analytical skills with business acumen in this position.
Responsibilities
- Track and analyze data on market and industry dynamics, consumer wants, JTI and competitor performance, trade, portfolio, and pricing strategies in order to pinpoint opportunities and problems for your business, portfolio, and brands.
- Aid in converting gathered insights into useful suggestions to aid decision-making (pricing, portfolio strategy, brand prioritization needs, Marketing & Sales programs).
- Ensure insights are widely embraced and understood by the Leadership and Marketing & Sales teams.
- Assist the Marketing & Sales team in setting up and tracking the targets & KPIs to support the evaluation of the M&S programs’ efficacy.
- Maintain relationships with important S.I. partners (local and international Research Institutes) to provide a steady flow of trustworthy, high-quality insights.
Qualification
- University degree in economics, business management, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the market research and/or strategic insights industries supporting commercial operations in the FMCG context.
- Understanding of market research (Qualitative and Quantitative, Retail audit).
- Possess commercial awareness (previous experience with Sales and other Commercial functions is a great plus).
- Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI proficiency.
