Who We Want:

The role of the Data Analyst-Consultant involves arranging and examining qualitative and quantitative data collected during community work. Their primary responsibility is to generate a comprehensive data assessment report.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in field testing of the instrument and data collectors’ training sessions
  • Remotely monitor the fieldwork in the two implementation states (Sokoto and Ebonyi)
  • Attend a workshop in Abuja on data evaluation, analysis, and report writing (where applicable)
  • Organize and lead the data analysis and report writing for the study.
  • Make a code book and dummy tables, then distribute them.
  • Draft Assessment Report
  • Interpreting the results of the analysis (quantitative and qualitative)
Qualification
  • A master’s degree in biostatistics, medical or health sciences research, or sociology is necessary.
  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research techniques, community surveys, and a strong record of publications are all desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
  • Effective written and verbal English
  • Have the capacity to multitask and meet deadlines quickly.

Additional Requirements

  • An advantage would be prior experience managing or assisting comparable research projects.
  • Understanding the standards for drafting social development reports and understanding overseas donors will be an added advantage.
  • It is desirable to have strong computer literacy and proficiency with tools for data analysis, such as SPSS, STATA, Atlas.ti, and R.
  • Knowledge with ArcGIS is a benefit as well.

Remuneration
