Who Are We Looking For?
The role of a Business Development & Relationship Management Officer entails spearheading the formulation and execution of strategies to facilitate the incorporation of new PFIs (MFBs & OFIs). Moreover, it involves the cultivation of strong, daily associations with current PFIs (MFBs & OFIs) to drive the realization of corporate objectives. The primary focus of this position lies in the adept management of client relationships, expansion of business horizons, acquisition of clientele, comprehensive industry evaluation, and vigilant supervision of risks coupled with their effective alleviation.
Core Responsibilities
- Establishes and nurtures connections with Micro Finance Banks & Other Financial Institutions (MFBs & OFIs) to foster business expansion.
- Facilitates seamless information exchange between PFIs (MFBs & OFIs) and the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN).
- Supervises and produces reports on the performance of Bank-managed MFBs & OFIs’ loans, schemes, and investments, comparing against monthly/quarterly/annual objectives.
- Assists in crafting and executing efficient customer service guidelines to enhance customer experiences.
- Aids in attaining business growth goals within a specific market segment.
- Tracks industry trends, identifies market openings, and devises customer-centric proposals to boost metrics like market share, revenue, profit, and brand strength.
- Devises and sustains comprehensive business plans for client ventures.
- Collaborates with the Business Development & Relationship Manager to provide prompt client solutions.
- Conducts regular business evaluations with clients.
- Reaches out to and follows up with qualified MFBs & OFIs for emerging prospects.
- Resolves customer inquiries with precision and timeliness.
- Collaborates intimately with MFBs & OFIs to grasp their business requisites and unearth expansion possibilities.
- Offers effective business counsel and consultancy to PFIs (MFBs & OFIs).
- Maintains adeptness in the Bank’s products, rates, policies, etc., to enlighten clients on advantages.
- Discerns current and future prospects for advancing business with new and existing PFIs.
- Upholds strong rapport with active PFIs (MFBs & OFIs) to ensure business retention.
- Safeguards and preserves the confidentiality of client information.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accounting, Finance and Administration, or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree in business or development finance, or management.
- Membership in professional institutes like ICAN, CIMA, CPA, CIBN, etc.
