About This Role

We are looking for a full-time, Credentialing Specialist passionate about whole-person, whole-family mental health care to join our team. This position reports to the SVP of Revenue Cycle Management.

Tasks and Obligations
  • Request Initial and Continuing Prior Authorizations for patient’s as per the insurance companies guidelines
  • Help answer billing and insurance questions and phone calls from the internal staff, patients, and insurance companies
  • Track current authorizations so we do not miss resubmitting for a new authorization, as well as alerting providers when patients are getting near the end of their authorization
  • Help with month end billing submission and reconciliation work
  • Help Create and maintain prior authorization workflows and reporting
  • Help answer insurance benefit questions from patients and staff
  • Coordinate timing of authorization requests by collaborating with Behavioral Care Managers and other team members
  • Assist with miscellaneous billing/authorization/insurance benefit work as it arises
  • Helping to assist in minor data entry or billing projects if necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • A great people person that is willing to work collaboratively with multiple departments and vendors
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks accordingly 
  • Educational background and certifications in healthcare and billing and/or credentialing required
  • 2 years healthcare experience preferably in authorization, billing, credentialing or comparable department
  • Database management experience preferred
  • Experience using project management tools preferred
Compensation Structure

The pay for United States residents is $20-$27/hour.  Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
