Who Are We Looking For?

We are offering a tremendous opportunity for a brand manager to join the marketing division’s brand team. The brand manager engages with coworkers and external stakeholders, informs them about company developments, and creates strategies to increase employee awareness and boost productivity. He or she ensures the dissemination of information that is pertinent to consumers and promotes the creation of high-quality brand content materials.

He or she engages the media and other interested parties in a way that helps to maintain the company’s positive reputation in order to advertise new products and talk about brand changes externally.

The brand manager conceptualizes and manages the implementation of brand communication, sponsorship, and events plans and strategies that will enhance the equity scores, sales performance, and profitability of the brand in line with the Company’s overall profit and portfolio objectives (s).

Responsibilities

Brand Management 

  • Initiate and oversee the annual brand planning process, which entails data analysis and collaboration with the larger commercial department to accomplish the brand goals in line with the overall brand strategy..
  • Implement brand initiatives in accordance with the brand positioning and role framework.
  • Monitor and report competitors’ activities to identify issues and opportunities.
  • Reviewing Brand profitability on a regular basis and offering suggestions to reduce departure from projected annual profit.
  • Analysis of trade margins of competing brands to make appropriate proposals.

Communication Development and Media

  • Collaborates with the brand’s communications team, creative agencies, and digital agencies to establish the brand’s communications strategy.
  • Prepare agency briefs and subsequent evaluation and assessment of agency creative proposals.
  • Using the reports from the media monitoring service, review and access campaign performance. 

Winning in Channels, Sponsorships, and Events

  • Evaluate brand strategies and plans against key channel dynamics.
  • Manage sponsorship assets to ensure maximum Return On Investment (ROI) and impact.
  • Create experiential plans and assure world-class execution on schedule, under budget, according to strategy, and with the intended impact in mind.

International Trends and Communication Research

  • Manage brand budget to ensure budget control and optimization of spend. 
  • Work with relevant agencies to ensure internal and external approvals are secured for Brand Campaigns, Promotions and other brand activities.
  • Plan regular meetings with the agencies to ensure that brand activities and initiatives are carried out perfectly..
Key Requirements

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum of 2nd Class upper or 2nd Class lower with a master’s degree in marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Economic, Psychology or other related social science field. 
  • Having a master’s degree is advantageous.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years’ experience in brand management, commerce or business advisory
  • Experience managing brands in FMCG and or a fast-paced business environment, preferably in a premium setting is an added advantage.
