What You’ll Do For Us

As Communication coordinator & Project officer, In addition to overseeing and delivering HBGI’s communications across a range of platforms, this individual will establish the organization’s external communications strategy.
This position will function as a full-fledged part of the management team and give feedback on team deliverables and strategy development in line with that.

Responsibilities
  • You will assist the Senior Advisor for Business Development in HBGI communications and external engagements.
  • You will take the lead on HBGI’s external communications, elevating the organization’s visibility among external stakeholders by effectively conveying its organizational direction through a variety of platforms.
  • Help with developing bids and proposals and conducting research as required.
  • This position is in charge of managing social media account maintenance, which includes writing posts and monitoring engagement metrics and analytics.
  • Help in choosing important events for HBGI to attend, performing outreach and networking as required to support HBGI attending important events.
  • You will be working in coordination with the Lived Experience Council (LEC) Communications workstream to ensure their feedback on pertinent items.
  • Assist in managing our contact list, doing research, preparing bids and proposals, and assisting fundraising efforts
Qualification
  • Possess a high-quality degree from a reputable university
  • Have at least three years or more of interesting, pertinent professional experience (post university)
  • Outstanding spoken and written English

Additional Requirements

  • Possess excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills, as well as knowledge of project planning and reporting.
  • Be a self-starter and able to work by your own initiative.
  • Possess an international perspective and evidence of interest in one or more of the following services aimed towards underserved communities; mental and/or brain health, International progress or The equality
Perks & Benefits
  • The pay will vary depending on where you are and will be roughly $28,000 for someone in Ghana, £38,000 for someone in the UK, and $55,000 for someone in the USA.
  • In addition to having double-matched pension contributions (or their equivalent, depending on where you live), you will also get health and life insurance.
  • You will have 33 days off, which will include HBGI leave and federally recognized holidays. This then rises by one day per year after the first year of probation until it reaches 38 (including days with a national minimum).
