Position Overview

Operating Unit for Africa The Consumer Insights Lead will perform duties both individually and through her/his team, including situational coaching and talent development. She/he will also regularly interact with the Insights Lead, Insights Team, Global Insights Lead, Marketing Lead, and wider Marketing, Strategy, and Customer & Commercial teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive learning strategy by selecting key insights-driven risks and opportunities across different categories and channels.
  • Create efficient insight delivery procedures and offer insights to the Africa Operating Unit for various types of brand strategies.
  • Establish innovative strategy insights to assist in business and creative briefs, early and late-stage creative production, consumer co-creation, evaluation, and testing.
  • Generate, administer, and distribute insights to Africa Operating Unit Categories to facilitate the formulation of regional and local marketing strategies, drive innovation pipeline development, and introduce new regional and local brands.
  • Design and oversee consumer co-creation, concept development and evaluation, product and packaging development, and testing for early and late-stage innovation projects.
  • Create and manage insights for integrated marketing initiatives to support package design, design principles and standards, and implement end-to-end consumer journey-focused marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with integrated marketing to identify and use consumer and consumption insights by category.
  • Establish and execute testing procedures for integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research for global campaigns and innovation projects.
  • Share insights and learnings with the Africa Operating Unit function network, including successful localized campaigns, best practices from the global Human Insights Network, and provide consultation support for related functions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience including Consumer Insights, Market Research, Analysis, preference for additional Marketing, Innovation, experience

  • Expertise in cutting-edge market research methodologies
  • Proficiency in emerging trends, insight techniques, and industry developments
  • Demonstrated ability in executing marketing strategies
