A Cost & Price Analyst is needed for the Finance division at the Port Elizabeth headquarters of LEAR Seating South Africa!
Responsibilities
- Assist sales in creating the cost studies required for quotes gathering information and creating APR in advance of future programs.
- Setting Up Profitability Studies that the plant will use for its forecast and budget weekly analysis of sales and creation of all required accruals
- Tracking price changes in accordance with commercial department to create a standardized costing method.
- Update and maintain the Financial Package’s costing system while keeping an eye on Purchase Price Variance.
- Obtain pertinent data from the buying departments, such as material utilization or pertinent part numbers.
- Follow up with every pricing variation and explain it. Maintain JBA’s rates and baseline costs.
- Information gathering, gathering pertinent data from multiple sources. Remain informed about all projects, adjustments, etc. with the purchasing manager, financial control manager, and engineering manager.
- Cost analysis, such as for Six Stigma. Update the system as required. Check out the bills of materials.
- Monitoring the engineering change process and making sure that all actions are documented and assessed.
- Maintain Supplier Contracts by reviewing all changes made to them. Verify that the selling prices adhere to the contracts with the customers.
- Conducting random checks on BOMS to make sure that materials are being used and purchased at affordable pricing.
Qualification
- B.Com. in Accounting or a Diploma in Cost Accounting
- 1-3 years of relevant costing or accounting experience Advantage
- Problem-solving, analytical, as well as conceptual capabilities.
- Proficiency with Excel
