Job Specifications

the brand “Klasha” is searching for a mid-senior level front-end engineer who is results-oriented and quick-witted to join our team and contribute to the growth of our exciting payments and logistics business in Africa.

As a Front-End engineer, you’ll combine design and programming skills to create visual components for our applications by converting UI/UX design wireframes into actual code. Working in tandem with our UI/UX designer, you’ll bridge the gap between design and technical implementation by actively engaging in the development of the application’s appearance and functionality.

Responsibilities

Develop new features for users.
Build reusable libraries and programming for future use.
Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.Improve application performance and scalability
Verify and validate user input before sending it to back-end.
Collaborate with team and stakeholders.Debug and troubleshoot software.
Conduct UI testing and performance optimization.
Create high-quality, reusable code.
Engage with a diverse team of admins, designers, and developers.
Participate throughout the entire app lifecycle.
Review peers’ code and offer constructive feedback.
Create reusable front-end systems for sophisticated online apps.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to deliver user-facing products.

Qualification

Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
Proficient in React coding.
Holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, or a similar field.
Well-versed in web markup languages such as HTML5, CSS3, etc.
Knowledgeable in CSS pre-processing frameworks like SASS and LESS.
Comprehensive understanding of JavaScript frameworks, including Jquery and client-side scripting.
Expertise in JavaScript is a must.
Strong command of Redux and ReactJS.
Familiarity with AJAX, partial page updates, and asynchronous request handling.
Basic understanding of image production tools for cropping, resizing, or minor alterations.
Strong knowledge of the African payments and logistics landscape.

Additional Expertise

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at supporting data-driven proposals.
Familiarity with graphic design software such as Gimp or Photoshop is desirable.
Demonstrates persistence and perseverance at a high level.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Knowledgeable in browser testing and debugging.
Proficient in Git.
Thorough understanding of web development’s design, development, and deployment stages.
