About The Role

Catalyst Now has transformed from its beginnings as a nimble, startup enterprise to a fast growing movement. We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic HR Manager to play a pivotal role in a young but dynamic non-profit. Tasks & Obligations
  • Ensuring the effective functioning of Catalyst’s global workspace, including managing the organization’s overall HR systems (e.g., systematizing maintenance of personnel files, contracts), streamlining HR policies and protocols, as well as resolving the day-to-day HR needs of the team (eg, drafting contracts or, responding to employee/contract-related queries).
  • Managing the recruitment process, including job postings, resume/CV screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Coordinating the onboarding and orientation for new team members and ensuring that all required paperwork is completed and filed.
  • Coordinating employee benefits, including enrollment, changes and terminations.
  • Assisting with employee relations issues, including investigations, documentation and communication.
  • Leading transitions of employees to an EOR employment model with our EOR provider Safeguard Global.
  • Managing all related HR policies and procedures and keeping the team abreast of them.
  • Managing monthly payroll management of employees and contractors and supporting the development of annual and mid year budget and monthly accounting closing.
  • Coordinate training and development modules and team meetings in partnership with our Membership team.
  • Streamline internal HR processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of nonprofit compliance standards for HR.
  • Implement and leverage technology solutions to enhance operational processes, data management, and communication.
  • Support a high-performing Operations Team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as requested and a being willing to be flexible when required.
Scope Of The Work

The HR Manager will join the Catalyst Now Operations Team as one of its key members. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all HR-related processes and systems at Catalyst Now. You will report directly to our Operations Facilitator.
Be specifically responsible for ensuring the effective management of Catalyst Now’s Human Resource operational and administrative systems, including overseeing our global recruitment, appraisals and team development processes, while ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards and HR best practices in the US.
As part of a global team, you will be the primary contact for our EOR, Safeguard Global, who employs many of Catalyst’s staff members on our behalf.

Salary Range

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.

Why You’ll Do For Us
  • Own institutional grant reporting at WBA, briefing and orchestrating the input of relevant colleagues including funder relationship leads, subject matter experts, finance and other colleagues as required.
  • Develop a temporal view of impact, e.g. from monthly to quarterly to annually, to bring a coherence and consistency to what we are measuring and to develop impact pathway (ref. Theory of Change) specific narrative arcs.
  • Use impact data from the Results Management Framework to draft institutional funder grant reports as per grant reporting schedules set out in grant agreements. Develop storylines which demonstrate impact on funder interests and objectives.
  • Surface what has not gone to plan and contextualize learnings over the course of grant reporting cycles
  • Provide staff with insights and impact data from the Results Management Framework at different points in the fundraising cycle, as requested.
  • Support non institutional grant owners on their grant reporting tasks with insight and data from the Results Management Framework as requested.
  • Impact data management and visualisation
  • Manage and develop the Results Management Framework (RMF) to measure progress against the WBA Theory of Change; Identify what we want to measure and how we will measure it
  • Support the Impact Researchers with the development of internal systems (e.g. Airtable) to capture information and training materials and workshops around impact data
  • Support the Impact Researchers with the visualization of impact data to develop insights and embed visualizations into grant reports as needed
Qualification
  • More than 5 years of experience in HR coordination or similar role is required.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in an international nonprofit organization strongly preferred.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills and demonstrable experience in finding resolutions to employee and consultant issues.
  • Understanding of Global HR policies, procedures and best practices is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working with an Employer of Record arrangement is preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall organisational vision.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software for operational efficiency.
  • An active interest in global issues and challenges, their complexity and nuances.
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a multicultural, fast-paced environment and across time zones, and a willingness to learn from experience.
  • Desire to work collaboratively, with a positive attitude and ability to rise to challenges.
  • Fluency in English and another language.

Compensation Package

You will receive market-based employment benefits (the equivalent of the all-in annual compensation range of €47,589 – €50,000 gross for an employee based in the Netherlands
