Position Overview
Taking the role of project manager will require you be accountable for the success or failure of all initiatives linked to Turbo-Machinery improvements. The project manager is also in charge of promoting customer satisfaction and ensuring the greatest level of excellence in the execution of the business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the complete implementation of projects connected to rotating machinery equipment upgrades and retrofits and being responsible for the contract’s financial success in terms of revenues, contribution margin, and cash collection.
- Managing the contract’s scope of work and making sure the project is delivered on time and in good condition in order to satisfy the client.
- Managing and coordinating all necessary site modifications, unit upgrades, repair services, and parts delivery activities for rotating machinery equipment in order to fulfill contract obligations.
- Managing cross-functional teams and coordinating internal and external execution to achieve corporate objectives and contractual responsibilities.
- Coordinating and leading all client communications, organizing and managing project deliverables, and discussing and assessing results with all internal stakeholders, including the project management leader.
- Recognizing and thoroughly assessing risks throughout the project lifetime, and working with various functions to reduce them.
- Managing and negotiating with customers on all change orders
- Planning and coordinating with customers to carry out suggested actions resulting from Technical Information Letters while keeping an eye on their technical improvement applicability and execution timeline on all relevant Rotating Machinery equipment
- Addressing any ambiguities in the contract agreement wording that may surface during contract execution with the client
- Keeping Customers informed of design modifications and providing them with information on the most recent developments in upgrade opportunities will help identify opportunities to increase project profitability in ways that will benefit Customers.
- operating in accordance with performance indicators, such as customer satisfaction NPS and the timeliness of project launch.
- interacting legally and ethically utilizing Baker Hughes’s resources in order to carry out all of the contract’s requirements
- Setting priorities and quickly escalating urgent issues that concern the firm
Qualification
- Possess a bachelor’s degree from a University or College that is accredited and have expertise in the Oil & Gas sector
- Possess at least 5 years of project management experience, including upgrading and/or retrofitting spinning equipment.
- Having hands-on experience managing people and resources while providing direct supervision on the job.
- Display proficiency in MS Office, systems for design, testing, and analysis, and technical writing skills (e.g. AutoCad)

- Demonstrate knowledge in managing customer contractual requirements and project cost control to effective completion.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers
- Possess the ability to work in a range of challenging circumstances, such as on-shore facilities and customer locations.
- Display ability to work in a matrix organization that is spread out globally.
- Be IPMA or PMP certified
- Having the Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus
