Join our team as a merchandiser within the Trade Marketing & Distribution department. As a valuable member, you will play a crucial role in executing our route to market strategy. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing product availability, visibility, volume, margin, quality, and retail pricing, with a strong emphasis on monitoring. Additionally, you will actively identify and capitalize on new opportunities, while spearheading the creation, growth, and execution of impactful trade programs. Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and effective marketing execution in designated territory and extended coverage area.
- Work as part of a ‘Tactical Response Team’ to address market situations and business needs under the guidance of Area Manager, TMDM, or Regional Manager.
- Implement essential TM&D activities in outlets within the territory to meet company objectives outlined in the cycle plan (e.g., visibility, availability, freshness, consumer engagement).
- Attain volume and distribution goals through direct sales (stock replenishment), rural wholesale customer management, and van sales monitoring.
- Enhance corporate image by adhering to the highest standards of business ethics, environmental practices, health, and safety, following the IMP guidelines.
Qualification
- Possess an esteemed OND/HND degree from a renowned polytechnic
- Proficient in fundamental selling, negotiation, and influencing abilities as a merchandiser.
- Competent in establishing and nurturing relationships with consumers, retailers, and semi-wholesalers
- Well-versed in redistribution concepts, business reporting, and communication
Additional Requirements
- Fluent in English language
- Skilled in driving
- Desirable knowledge of rural towns and road networks
- A plus: Familiarity with local languages in the assigned territory
