As a Product Designer you will define given product performance standards based on user insights; develop design concepts and specifications that optimize a product, software, device, or service’s emotional and functional experience; produce visual designs from conception through delivery and maintenance; and support interaction designs for hardware- and/or software-based experiences. You will have the chance to develop and present engaging product narratives and insights for various audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and deliver artifacts at various levels of fidelity.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of product user experience via creation of interaction models and detailed designs for new and existing product features.
  • Create visual design documents including mood boards, storyboards, creative briefs, three-dimensional (3D) models, product renderings/visualizations, color and materials design, motion studies, iconography, illustrations, layouts, and redlines for an assigned product, tool, or service.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to create a compelling narrative for a specific product or feature and the customer.
  • Contribute to visual designs from concept to delivery.  
  • Facilitate the creative visual design process by producing the visual language for a product.
  • Collaborate with creative team members, program managers, and developers to define and iterate new and existing product features. Ensure optimal designs.
  • Create wireframes, journey maps, user jobs and scenarios, task flows, and personas in support of interaction designs for hardware and/or software-based experiences.
Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 2+ years related work experience working in product or service design
    • OR Master’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 1+ year(s) relevant internship/work experience working in product or service design
    • OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems)

Salary Range

$92,900 – $151,800
