Who Are We Scouting For?
The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the triumphant completion of project components within designated timeframes, budgets, and quality benchmarks. This encompasses tasks such as project implementation, enhancing existing projects, and overall project execution. With a broad spectrum of responsibilities, the Project Manager serves as the face of Speedcast, engaging with diverse customers across multiple sectors.
Duties
- Anticipate, manage, mitigate risks and resolve issues and act as the point of contact for the project.
- Liaise with the Global Supply Chain group in the procurement and logistics of equipment and services.
- Drive the Project execution and support all administrative tasks associated with projects.
- Manage relationship with the customer and define expectations.
- Transition to the Speedcast support team to enable ongoing support for customer services after Go Live.
- Complete all project closure activities, including customer sign-off and billing initiation.
- Develop and manage project documentation (general and project/customer specific).
- Manage and report the Profit & Loss analysis of the project.
- Coordinate with Project, System, Sales and Field Engineering, Global Supply Chain and Support center teams as required to implement projects.
- Identify and resolve conflicts, misinterpretations and/or misunderstandings with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Identify changes in project scope and manage the process of internal review and contract variation.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company HSE policies and procedures.
- Champion the Speedcast values underpinning behaviors in all interactions.
Qualification
- Minimum of five years of Information and Communication Telecommunication or Satellite communication industry experience.
- Demonstrated Stakeholder Engagement and Management.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator.
- ITIL Certification.
- Communicates clearly, both verbally and written.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong organization, tracking, follow-up and analytical skills.
- Collaborates / Alignment with teams with different focus and priorities.
- Apply flexibility where required and within limits.
- Ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Understanding of digital satellite network architectures, mobility services, VSAT platforms.
- Understanding of basic concepts of IP networking, VOIP and QoS.
Additional Requirements
- Five years of hands-on experience managing multiple projects.
- PRINCE2, PMI PMP or equivalent industry certification.
- Solid PC skills including usage of the full MS Office Suite
