Location: Remote

Job Field: Media

About The Role

We’d like Pouchers to be one of those accounts people actually follow on purpose. And we’d like a lot more of them doing it week over week, month over month. The kind of account that posts something worth screenshotting, replies like a person, and shows up in the right conversations without forcing it. Which means we need someone who’s genuinely online, not “checks X at lunch” online. The kind of person whose own timeline already looks like they get it. We’d like that energy pointed at ours.

You understand that an X thread reads differently from an Instagram carousel, and you’d never cross-post the same content everywhere. You know which platforms reward speed, which reward craft, and which reward showing up in the replies. Your voice on the page and ours, once you’re writing it is minimalist, declarative, and confident. The kind of voice that earns trust in fintech is harder than it sounds.

The best social accounts make people like the brand first, and figure out what it does second. Wherever someone lands, they shouldn’t want to leave. They should save something, follow us, or just stay a little longer than they meant to.

We want someone who’s present. In the feed, in the replies, in the conversations we should be part of. The kind of person who’s already in them, not the one scheduling a post about them next week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post every day across X, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. Native to each platform, never cross-posted lazily
  • Grow the audience on every platform. Followers, reach, and the quality of the people paying attention
  • Adapt long-form work from the content team into native formats. Threads, carousels, stories, reels, quote graphics
  • Live in the replies, DMs, and quote tweets. Engage where the conversations are already happening
  • Watch the internet closely. When something’s trending in fintech, freelancing, remote work, or cross-border payments, you’re already thinking about how the brand shows up
  • Surface and amplify user stories, testimonials, and mentions. Build the formats that make users want to share
  • Coordinate with paid campaigns so organic and paid reinforce each other instead of competing
  • Brief the creative team (design, motion, video) on what you need and when. Review their work, request revisions, and protect the standard
  • Track what’s working. Report weekly to the Growth Lead on follower growth, engagement, clicks, and social-attributed signups. Flag spikes fast so we can amplify them

Requirements

  • You’ve run social for a fintech brand that people actually followed by choice. You know the category, what earns trust, what raises eyebrows, and where the line is
  • You’ve grown an audience before, and you can talk about what worked and what didn’t without hiding behind vanity metrics
  • You live on the platforms you’d be posting on. Your personal timelines already look like you get it
  • You write fast and tight. Captions that land, threads that finish, replies that sound like a human
  • You have taste. You can tell when a post is trying too hard, and you don’t post those
  • You treat the reply button like part of the job, because for you it already is
  • You take briefs well and push back cleanly when something isn’t going to work
  • You don’t need a content calendar to tell you what matters today
