Job Description Summary:
What You’ll Do for Us
You will be in charge of a few key core operations within the company portfolio as the Stores supervisor, maintaining control over the daily operations of stores to guarantee access to required resources and supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all materials are received, processed, fulfilled, picked up for movement, monitored, and sent out of the plant.
- Plan, oversee, and assess the effectiveness of all depot inventory planning and control tasks.
- Take charge of the effective management of the depot’s resources, such as its cars and equipment.
- Constantly assess the layout, use of space, and flow of materials in the store to find areas for improvement.
- Consistently ensure that the system receives daily records of store transactions.
- Plan routine or periodic stock count exercises and make sure inconsistencies are fixed quickly.
- Plan monthly or recurring stock counts, and make sure any inconsistencies are quickly remedied.
- Ensure prompt resolution of depot-related issues and obstacles by taking the necessary steps, including leveraging existing relationships.
- For store safety, implement HSE policies and procedures.
- Make recommendations to the head of Operations & Maintenance after ensuring ongoing examination and evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of store management policies, procedures, and processes.
Requirements:
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline
- 8 years or less of relevant experience
- A thorough awareness of the trends, opportunities, problems, rules, and laws affecting the cement production business.
- Good familiarity and comprehension of the company’s products and services.
- Very strong understanding of the concepts and procedures involved in inventory planning and management
- Good knowledge of the Nigerian distribution and logistics network and the given region
- Thorough familiarity with regional and DCP-approved HSE regulations
