The Marketing and Communications Lead (Worldwide) creates, develops, and delivers Value for Women’s effective brand messaging and communications in a global marketplace. This unique job is focused for positioning VFW’s voice, brand, and work to current and new customers and partners, as well as driving marketing and communications activities that clearly express our distinctive impact and value offer.
This fascinating position is a part of the international, multidisciplinary team of specialists that is specially positioned to encourage investors, companies, financial institutions, and intermediaries all around the world to embrace gender and social inclusion initiatives. We are an organization with more than 30 employees that is active, developing quickly, very collaborative, and works entirely from home.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Strategy and Development to develop and deliver a strategy for thought leadership to strengthen the organisation’s position and voice.
- Execute and manage communications, marketing, media, and PR assets and activities, including overseeing the maintenance and update of the website, brochure, social media channels, newsletters, campaigns, and new media products.
- Develop key messages and narratives on topics and issues relevant to VFW for sharing and dissemination in mainstream/ niche media.
- Drive VFW brand recognition by proactively identifying media opportunities and taking swift action to achieve impactful results. Cultivate and maintain media relationships for future opportunities.
- Lead project and campaign management by collaborating with external consultants, vendors, and internal teams to produce high-quality content, graphics, websites, and multimedia.
- Spearhead the development and evolution of digital and social media strategies, constantly bringing innovative ideas to enhance the organization’s social presence in the ever-changing digital market.
Qualification
- The ideal applicant should be from Asia or Africa, and have at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 12 years of work experience in the business/industry and in IT, including infrastructure automation as well as system deployment.
- Hold a master’s degree in journalism, marketing, and public relations (or related field).
- Outstanding individuals holding a Bachelor’s or University degree are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated success leading and directing teams for 5+ years.
Additional Requirement
- Mastery of the English language, both written and spoken, while possessing intermediate to advanced knowledge in Spanish
- Expertise in diverse communication channels and their role in communication segmentation.
- Mastery of email marketing and campaign technologies like Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, and others
- Strong knowledge of database systems, CMS, and digital marketing and design technologies. Preferably, practical experience using technologies for managing site content, such as WordPress, CraftCMS, or equivalents.
- Using office products, Google Suite, and project management.
- Understanding of Google Analytics and SEO.
- Ability to craft compelling written content, delivering articulate verbal messages
- Exceptional speaking prowess.
