Job Overview

CodeCombat is looking for a Customer Support Specialist to act as a main point of contact for our users. Our Support Specialists interact with a wide variety of customers including but not limited to at-home users, teachers in a classroom setting, and individuals seeking Online Classes in order to learn how to code. If you have experience supporting a busy org in a customer-facing role, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage, address, and respond to user inquiries via email and live chat with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Assist users in debugging in-game code in Python, JavaScript, and Lua
  • Synthesize customer feedback and trends to propose improvements for user interfaces, anticipating potential conflicts
  • Discover and document customer pain points to enhance support procedures
  • Research and reproduce customer issues using the internal knowledge base
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues, escalating serious cases to the product team as necessary
  • Assist students and guardians with CodeCombat Online Classes enrollment
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Product teams to identify and resolve customer pain points
Requirements
  • Growth-minded with a commitment towards individual and organizational advancements
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Familiarity with G Suite applications (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets)
  • Ability and willingness to learn a range of computer programs (TimeTap scheduling software, Zendesk, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service and ability to interact with students and users (8+ years of age), parents, and guardians
  • Detail-oriented
  • Comfortable assisting customers with technical questions in a compassionate, clear and friendly tone
  • Aptitude for communicating technical issues to customers with varying levels of expertise
  • Comfortable staying organized and prioritizing tasks in a 100% remote environment
Qualification
  • Basic programming skills in Python and JavaScript
Compensation Package

$19.50 – $27 an hour
