Role Overview

The Content & Marketing Specialist is a dual-focus role designed for the modern marketing environment. AI tools have fundamentally changed how content is produced; a skilled writer with the right tools can now do in hours what once took days. That creates capacity that we’re intentionally channelling into marketing support, making this role a genuine contributor across the full marketing function rather than a single-output position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality, brand-aligned content for marketing campaigns, websites, landing pages, email campaigns, social media, brochures, presentations, and partner communications
  • Use AI tools responsibly to support ideation, copy variations, drafts, and workflow efficiency — always refining output to meet quality, accuracy, and brand standards
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice, tone, and messaging framework across all content and channels
  • Write clear, persuasive, audience-focused copy tailored to different platforms, formats, and campaign objectives
  • Edit, proofread, and quality-check both AI-generated and manually written content for clarity, grammar, and consistency
  • Produce content for promotional toolkits, ad copy, newsletters, product and service descriptions, and event materials
  • Build and maintain reusable messaging templates, content libraries, and version-controlled draft files for team efficiency
  • Conduct research to ensure content accuracy, audience relevance, and alignment with current business priorities
  • Perform periodic website content audits to identify outdated copy, inconsistent terminology, or pages that need refreshing”
  • Manage and maintain the content calendar, ensuring planned content is produced, approved, and published on time across channels
  • Collaborate with the SEO Specialist to produce keyword-optimised blog posts, landing pages, and web copy aligned with organic search goals
  • Support the Google Ads Expert by writing and testing ad copy variations, headlines, and descriptions for paid campaigns
  • Coordinate with design, product, and internal stakeholders to gather briefs, consolidate feedback, and keep content projects on track
  • Support the planning and execution of email marketing campaigns — copy, sequencing, and basic performance review
  • Assist with event, webinar, and partnership communication materials as needed
  • Track basic content performance metrics and flag insights to the Senior Marketing Manager

Requirements

  • 2+ years in content writing, copywriting, or a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; make everything cleaner than you found it
  • Hands-on experience with AI content tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, or similar)
  • Ability to write confidently across format; web, email, social, ads, and long-form
  • Organised, deadline-driven, and comfortable juggling multiple projects remotely
  • Strong communicator who works well with cross-functional teams
  • Basic understanding of SEO content principles is a plus
