What We Are Looking For?
We’re looking for a creative and dynamic Podcast Host/Producer to launch and lead our new podcast series. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology, startups, and African innovation, and who can translate this passion into engaging audio content.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, strategize, and deliver a recurring podcast series with a focus on technology, startups, and innovation in the African landscape.
- Investigate and assemble compelling content related to tech trends, startups, and innovation across Africa.
- Engage in insightful interviews with influential figures, entrepreneurs, and pertinent guests within the industry.
- Enhance and refine podcast episodes to guarantee top-notch audio quality.
- Work closely with the marketing team to endorse the podcast and expand our listener base.
- Remain abreast of podcasting trends and propose innovative ideas for ongoing enhancement.
Qualification
- Proven expertise in podcasting, radio broadcasting, or a closely related domain.
- In-depth knowledge of the African tech and startup landscape.
- Exceptional communication and interview abilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced audio editing software.
- Demonstrated capacity to thrive independently while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Impressive portfolio highlighting accomplishments in podcasting or broadcasting.
Additional Qualification
- Existing network in the African tech/startup scene.
- Experience with remote recording setups.
- Skills in digital marketing and social media promotion.
