Who Are We Looking For?

As the Vice President of Technology Operations, you’ll be at the forefront of spearheading ConsenSys quest for technical prowess and operational effectiveness. Your mission: to take the helm in managing our tech infrastructure, overseeing hardware and software deployment, and providing unwavering support to keep our operations running smoothly. Your strategic vision and deep technical know-how will be the cornerstone of our growth, streamlining processes and fortifying our technology landscape to ensure its resilience and security. Reporting directly to the COO, you’ll be charting a course for our tech success.

Key Duties and Accountabilities

Strategic Technical Leadership:

• Shape the technology operations team’s mission, vision, and strategy.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Chart and execute the tech roadmap in harmony with the company’s broader strategy.
• Manage all facets of software implementation, licensing, and oversight.
• Ensure optimal hardware and software provisioning for employee productivity.
• Supervise and assist in optimizing the TechOps HelpDesk (ZenDesk).
• Stay current with web3 innovations and assess their relevance to our operations.
• Highly advantageous if experienced with AI integration.
• Harness technology to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure and services.
• Develop, manage, and refine function-related policies and processes.

Security and Compliance Expertise:

• Take a proactive stance in cybersecurity, collaborating closely with the security operations team.
• Ensure robust measures safeguard our systems and data.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to meet regulatory and industry standards.
• Possess a global perspective on regulatory requirements (we operate in 45+ countries).
• Shape our information management policy and regularly review software solutions.

Team Leadership and Management:

• Proven leadership and adept people management skills.
• Skilled in strategic planning, resource allocation, and budget control.
• Effective communicator, fostering cross-functional and executive collaboration.
• Lead and develop a high-performing technology operations team, attracting top talent.
• Foster growth and promote a culture of excellence.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide mentorship opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering.
• Align technology operations with company-wide objectives.
• Provide frequent updates to executives and stakeholders on tech initiatives, progress, and challenges.
